Lilan Geating

Lilan was born and raised in the slums of Calcutta (Kolkata), India even though both her parents are Chinese. Lilan’s American sponsors provided schooling for her all through high school and finally brought her to the United States for college. She earned a BA in Business and master’s in Education. Lilan also took some CCEF courses at WTS and earned certificates in Foundations of Biblical Counseling and Family and Marriage Counseling. After decades of staying home to raise five children, and supporting her husband as Pastor’s wife, Lilan is now joyfully embracing a new chapter in her life as doting grandma to two grandchildren, Will and Miki. Lilan also serves as the International Student Coordinator at Phil-Mont Christian Academy. Lilan attends China Grace Christian Church, where her late husband was a pastor. She teaches Sunday School. Lilan has a special soft spot for the poor and orphaned children because she was one of them once upon a time. Lilan enjoys walking with friends and conversations about God’s Word and work in our lives. She enjoys gardening to get good quality food. She loves to read and listen to podcasts about the Christian life. Lilan’s simple joys are time with her grandkids and at family and friends’ gatherings.
